Welcome to G.A.S.P.

Gary Nero traveled  20,600 miles around the contiguous United States on his one-man, yearlong Last G.A.S.P. Bicycle Tour. You can ride along with him, online with PBS 45 & 49.

Starting on June 14, 1999 this site chronicled Nero's day-to-day adventures on a calendar and through his Last G.A.S.P. Journal postings and photos.

PBS 45 & 49 Educational Services Online (http://wneo.org/gasp) has followed Nero's Last G.A.S.P. adventure as he bicycled to every national park in the contiguous U. S.

The Educational Services Staff also created a school-year-long, web-based curriculum for local classrooms (grades 3 - 12) to use beginning this September. This website features weekly problem-solving activities tied to the trip and links to Pothole of the Week, G.A.S.P. Facts, Last G.A.S.P. Contests and Activities, Last G.A.S.P. Journal, photographs, video, and ask-the-bicycle-expert e-mail.

Please join us for a year-long adventure!
