What Did Gary Take?

THINK ABOUT IT! You're on a bicycle and you've decided to pedal all the way around the United States--2096 miles. The only equipment you can carry is what you can put on yourself or on your bike. How do you decide what to take? It took Gary a lot of planning to come up with just the right amount of items to take. He had to consider both what he needed and how much each item weighed.

Besides his bike, he took 47 things with him. "Shirts" is considered one item even though he took more than one shirt.

Let's see how good you are. Make a list of items that you think that Gary took with him on his trek across the U. S. Email us your list at gasp@wneo.org by November 1, 1999. The closest guess or guesses will receive a Last G.A.S.P. t-shirt.

On November 15 we will post Gary's list of items and the winning list(s) on the PBS 45 & 49 Last G.A.S.P. web site.
