The next day
(11-4) was another long and ugly one. I had to go from Bluff to Chinle, Arizona (93 miles)
just to find a place to stay. The only towns in between were small Navaho settlements
without motels. I did find a couple of convenience stores along the way, however. I
arrived about a half-hour after sunset (yep it was getting pretty dark), and headed for
the nearest motel. At least tomorrow I’ll be able to spend the whole day at Canyon De
Chelly. |
