The next day traveling
to Grand Rapids, Ohio was pretty easy. Only 64 miles, but partly on US Rt. 6 with lots of
truck traffic. Ive found that truckers as a whole are very courteous. They go way
into the other lane when no traffic is coming, and hug the yellow line even when traffic
is coming the other way. Good thing because they really can blow a cyclist. Coming from
behind there is a brief blow, then a strong pull as the trailer passes. Coming from the
other direction, they just blow like a big blast of wind.
Everything hurt this second day thighs,
calves, arms, hips, neck and right knee. Some of these parts should hurt, but Im a
bit worried about the hips and knee. I camped for the night at Mary Jane Thurston State
Park along the Maumee River very pretty spot.
