I left Belle Fourche heading west on a little detour to Devils Tower
National Monument. It was mostly uphill and somewhat against the wind, but very enjoyable
nonetheless. Route 24 in Wyoming is probably the most beautiful road that Ive been
on during this journey. I stopped at the Aladdin Coal Tipple (preserved from the early
part of this century) and the town of Aladdin (population 15, but with a very interesting
general store that dates back over 100 years). |
