The next day (7-31) was a large disappointment. I heard rain during the night and awoke to the sight of low-lying clouds in all directions. I could only see up to about the tree line on all of these beautiful surrounding mountains. Big bummer! I waited until about 3:00 pm for it to clear (did some computer work), but it didn’t, so I rode from St. Mary to the Many Glaciers section of the Park anyway. I got some real nice photos of the lakes and rivers and the lower half of the mountains, but the weather never got better. I rode back to St. Mary disappointed and sulked in the hot tub for another couple of hours.
