January 28, 2000

It wasn’t very nice outside the next morning (1-28) either, but at least it wasn’t raining.  The north wind was still blowing though, so I didn’t get real far today. I had no interest in camping (mid-afternoon high was 33 degrees), so I planned to stop in a town large enough to have a motel.  The right town turned out to be Cleveland.  I also had lunch in Dayton today, but I am really still in Texas, not back home in Ohio.

My treat for the day came when I found out HBO was showing Saving Pvt. Ryan tonight.  It’s a terrific movie, but it left me so emotionally drained that I couldn’t even call home to talk to my “kids” afterward.
