I
slept better that night and was on my way back up the Keys the
next morning (2-28). I
do remember waking up two or three times in the middle of the
night hearing the arguments of the couple in the tent next to
mine. Get your
_____ feet out of my face.
Stay on your own _____ side of the tent.
Real loving couple, they were.
I
got a break with the wind today.
It wasnt blowing hard at all, and what there was seemed
to be coming out of the northwest more crosswise to me than
against me. That allowed me to get back to Fiesta Key well before dark,
even with time taken to change a flat tire (small piece of wire).
Im
staying again at the KOA (where I stayed on the way down) and my
total camping bill for the past four days is now $198.
Im just looking at this as if it were vacation (why not
- the weather, scenery and attractions are all great), and Im
not going to be upset by the cost.
Anyhow, motel rooms for four days would have cost about
$600. Let me just say
that despite the cost of lodging, the Keys are an absolutely
delightful place to visit in February.
