Some day! (12-9) I got up real early and left Pearblossom at 7:15am, just as soon as it was light enough to safely ride.  I was pretty well committed to reaching Yucca Valley right from the start, but realized that I might have to camp along the road if it got dark before I got close to town.  I was therefore mindful of good places to pull over for the night, and I found one, but it was too early in the day to stop.

It turned out that I had just enough daylight, as I took three short stops, and snuck into Yucca Valley under the cover of real heavy twilight at about 5:00pm.  The accomplishment of the day was that I managed to get back on schedule after two straight days of stopping short of where I was supposed to be.   Oh yeah, I also rode 103 miles today, which is a new all-time personal best.  If you’re looking for something funny today – forget it!
