The Lincoln Memorial

          In Washington, D.C. the Lincoln

Memorial can be found.  It was built

in 1917 to honor the 16th President of the

United States, Abraham Lincoln.

          Inside the monument is a 19 foot

marble statue of Abraham Lincoln sitting

in a chair.  This is the largest marble

statue in the world.  There are also 2 painted

murals by Jules Guerin inside the memorial.
