Statue of Liberty

          The Statue of Liberty can be found on an island

in the harbor of New York City.  It was a gift from

France to the United States in 1884.  It is over 300 feet

tall and is made of copper.

          The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of freedom for

the millions of people who have come to the United

States.  These people came to the United States to start

a new life.
