Introduction

You are applying for a job as a tour guide at the Frank House in Amsterdam, Holland. You must be prepared to answer many questions regarding  the life and times of Anne Frank and her family….(Father, Mother, and Sister, Margot.)

The Task

You get the opportunity to instruct visitors to the museum by creating a comprehensive brochure to be presented to each guest at the museum. Having read your brochure, they will be prepared to enter the world of Anne Frank and her family.

The Process

You will design a tri-fold brochure for the museum that highlights the following topics:

      The history of the Holocaust
The history of the Jewish People
Concentration camps (including work camps, death camps, etc.)
Why did Hitler want to exterminate people?
Germany today compared to Germany during World War II

Conclusion

It’s so good to know that all of us are sadly coming to the conclusion of studying the “Life of Anne Frank.”

How about sharing these gifts with one another?

We also learned that there was so much more to learn about Anne and her Family.

Does anyone want to list some of these on the board now?

We have studied history in the making, and we’ve learned to appreciate the gift of living and loving what we already have in our own lives.  Discuss.

Looking at these pictures posted on the board, what would you like to share?

Brochure Sharing: Students display their creative personal ‘Brochure with one another.’

One of the last holy gatherings the Frank Family shared with one another before they were captured was the Feast of the Passover. We have prepared a Sedar Meal that we can share with one another this afternoon.  As we conclude our study, let us always remember our special friends.

Anne’s favorite quote: ‘I truly believe that within each person there is an invincible summer!’ “So let us go and do the same!”
