Introduction

You are going to be working as a team of students.  You will explore the cycle of an apple and use your five senses to discover many things about apples.  You will use classroom resources and the Internet to complete your assigned group tasks.

The Task

1.      You will be assigned to a group with a number.

2.      Review and discuss tasks with your members.

3.      Find information using the Internet and/or reading materials.

4.      Write all information on a sheet of notebook paper.

5.      Present your material in a creative way.

After you have completed the tasks all members of the group are responsible for sharing the information with the rest of the class.

Each group will also write up the answers to the following:

1)      What does an apple sound like when you-
    bite it         chew it          tap it        roll it                                                                                                                                                                       

2)      Create a new flavor of apple.

3)      Design a new snack with apples.

Evaluation

You will be graded on your ability to stay on task, how well you worked with others in your group and how you presented the material to the class.

Conclusion

After completing this project you will have a better understanding on how apples go from seed to fruit, how the different seasons affect the seed and the nutritional benefits of apples.
